GEO audit: getting into AI assistant answers

We ask an AI about your page topic and parse what it cited. Competitors here are not the search top — they are the pages already in the answer.

How the GEO audit runs

Five steps. Only the first differs — the rest is shared by all three audits

Step 1 · Competitor selection

We ask the AI engine you pick about your page topic — write the prompt yourself or let the service generate it. Competitors are every page the answer cited. If yours is already cited, the audit shifts from getting in to holding on: reinforce what you are cited for and close the places where others are.

Step 2 · Page brief — 1 limit

We parse the selected competitors and build a brief: which blocks, facts and questions the page needs to answer the query more completely than they do. Part of every run — every other output builds on it.

Step 3 · Page copy — 2 limits

Finished copy written from that brief, not a rewrite of competitors. Enabled with a checkbox in the form.

Step 4 · Meta and structured data — 1 limit

Title, description and JSON-LD matched to the page content. A separate output — enabled with a checkbox in the form.

Step 5 · Page mockup — 3 limits

A visual layout: how the blocks from the brief sit on the page. Needs the brief and the copy, enabled separately.

Your own competitor list

You do not have to trust the automatic pick: a competitor list you set by hand outranks the one we find, in all three audits.

Add outputs later

No need to rerun the audit. Meta or the mockup can be generated from a finished report with one button — the competitor data is already there.

The report explains itself

A "How we worked this out" block shows what was analysed and what the service inferred for you, whether the page is relevant to the query, where the reference page type came from, who ended up as a competitor — and what failed.

Questions about the GEO audit

How is GEO different from AEO?

GEO is the answer of an AI assistant someone opened directly. AEO is the AI answer inside a search engine, above the normal results. Different surfaces with different sources, so they are separate audits.

Where does the question to the AI come from?

From the page content: the service writes a neutral prompt about its topic. You can set the prompt by hand when you need exact wording.

What if the AI cited no pages at all?

The audit stops — there is nothing to compare against. The reason goes into the report, and it is worth trying another query or another assistant.

How long does a GEO audit take?

Measured, about 214 seconds with one output — longer than the SEO audit, because an assistant answer arrives more slowly than search results. Each extra output adds roughly a minute.
